SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO AM) The City of Sioux Falls has new labor troubles.
City workers with the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees have rejected a contract offer containing annual pay increases of 1.5 percent.
Local Labor Representative Tim Hoss tells KELO Radio News the final offer was rejected by 63 percent of the membership and negotiations are now at an "impasse."
Sioux Falls union police officers have also rejected the city's final offer of 1.5 percent.
AFSCME represents hundreds of clerks, maintenance workers and other city employees.
