WASHINGTON, DC (KELO AM) Hundreds of South Dakotans are in Washington to enjoy the Donald Trump presidential inaugural events.
Senator Mike Rounds says his office has been busy.
"There's a couple of formal balls, as well as a parade, and I think our office gave out about 300 tickets to visiting South Dakotans," says Senator Rounds.
Rounds says its unfortunate that about 60 House Democrats are boycotting the inauguration, but there are over 400 House members,
"so in the big picture it's not going to make that much of a difference."
Sioux Falls entrepreneur, Brian Rand, is on his first trip to D.C. to watch Trump take the oath of office Friday. He says Trump can inspire business people like him and all South Dakotans to pursue their dreams. Rand is involved with the Bakery and Dale Carnegie.
