Undated (KELO AM) - The National Weather Service says a Winter Storm Watch continues for the immediate Sioux Falls area from 6 a.m. Monday to midnight.
Mixed precipitation late Sunday into Monday morning will switch to all snow Monday afternoon. Expected ice accumulations at this time will be in the tenth to two tenths of an inch, with snow accumulations of two to three inches.
Just to the south and east of Sioux Falls, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 a.m. to midnight. An Ice Storm Warning and Winter Storm Warning also have been issued for parts of the area.
If you need to travel on Monday, periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities. Before heading out, check out the latest forecast and current road conditions.
Slow down, buckle up, and have a winter survival kit in your vehicle. If you do become stranded, stay with your vehicle.
