SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls man faces child pornography charges after a 17-year-old girl tipped police.
Lieutenant Mike Colwill says 32-year-old Steven Christopher Clancey is also accused of not letting the girl leave his West 8th Street apartment.
Colwill says the girl was an acquaintance of Clancey and went to his apartment to charge her phone. Once inside, Clancey allegedly locked the door and wouldn't let her go. It was then, Colwill says, that she saw the suspect view what she believed to be child pornography on an electronic device.
Colwill says the girl managed to convince Clancey to let her go and she called police who got a search warrant.
He says investigators seized several devices and are going over the data to collect any additional evidence. He says there may be more charges.
Clancey is also charged with false imprisonment and possession of controlled substances and marijuana.
