SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - "Unremarkable." That's how Officer Sam Clemens described two saturation patrols Friday and New Year's Eve.
Clemens says police made a total of four, driving while intoxicated arrests compared to eleven last year.
Clemens says he talked with the patrol sergeant who told him that for whatever reason, many people don't drink and drive on New Years.
He says police can hold saturation patrols one night in the middle of January and make 13 DWI arrests.
Clemens says four extra officers worked both nights between five and three.
Officers issued 5 speeding tickets on Friday night and 17 on New Year's Eve.
