SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO AM) Two Santas in blue helped Kelsie Lund with her car trouble in Sioux Falls on Christmas Eve.
Lund tells KELO Radio News that her car conked out and two cops tried to help get it started, but it wouldn't budge, so she got a ride in another car with family members, but the officers followed her.
They gave her $50 in cash.
"I was surprised and I was happy and I thought that was very nice of them to even help jump start it and give me $50," Lund tells KELO Radio News.
"I was happy that these young cops would help people out on Christmas day. I didn't know that they do that," Lund says with a laugh.
She didn't know that an anonymous donor had given the Sioux Falls Police Department thousands of dollars to hand out during the holidays. Lund says she doesn't have much money because she's just started a full time job, so the unexpected cash will come in handy..
