PIERRE, SD (KELO-AM) Interstate 90 has been re-opened from Chamberlain to the Wyoming border. It had been closed by blizzard conditions in high winds.
Just because the interstate is open again, doesn't mean that it's easy going.
State Highway Patrol Spokesman Tony Mangan says there is still ice and blowing snow on parts of the Interstate. If you must drive west on I-90 to Rapid City, then take your time, wear your seat belt and do not use cruise control so you can react more quickly.
There were no travel advisories out in many parts of South Dakota on Monday.
