SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO AM) Shopping in downtown Sioux Falls Friday and Saturday will directly help the victims of the building collapse on Phillips Avenue. Its called 'Shopping For Strength'.

"Lloyd Companies and a bunch of other generous businesses will be matching those sales up to $10,000 to go to the families," says Brienne Manor with Downtown Sioux Falls, Inc., "So not only are you giving back to the families by coming downtown this weekend, but you are also giving back to these stores that need it so badly,"

Mayor Mike Huether and other city officials are encouraging people to return to downtown. Many businesses that had to close because of last Friday's building collapse at Phillips and 10th, are now open, or are re-opening.

Construction worker Ethan McMahon was killed in the tons of rubble. His funeral was Friday. Emily Todness and her dogs were pulled alive from the rubble. She lived in an apartment upstairs.
